Week 9, Round 2
Today was terrible. I set out to do 3 miles, but at 1 mile I had to stop. I and the most excruciating side stitch I have ever had in my life. I've never had a problem with this before, so I listened to my body and stopped and walked for 5 minutes. Then my uncle stopped me and needed some help with something, so I helped him than ran back to my house, a little over half a mile, about 7 minutes. I think I am going to try and do another mile and a half tomorrow, then do day 3 on Saturday. I think this pain is being caused by me trying to run faster. I'm just going to take it easy.

Middle of week 6
I hurt all over. I got up early today to run so I could beat the heat and get used to running early. I am going to run a 5k on Saturday so I have to get used to running earlier. My legs had a hard time moving. It doesn't help that I haven't been able to sleep. I really hope this isn't burnout setting in. I don't want to lose this love of running.

Week 4, Round 2
My legs are starting to retaliate, but I was booking it compared to last week. My heart and lungs feel amazing and it is invigorating, but my legs, hips and ankles are getting angry. Also, I just can't stand Jillian Michaels anymore. I'm going to try going back to Pilates DVDs. Mari is so much more pleasant.

Blah
I am so out of energy today. I started my warm up conditioning drill, got 3 minutes into DVD and couldn't go on. I'm really disappointed in myself right now. Hopefully I can pick it back up after lunch. I think I'm not getting enough sleep, I've been staying up way too late, and getting up at the same time, lately equalling out to less than the recommended 8 hours. I'll be this has something to do with the lack of energy.

Week 4
Ouch. That was rough. I think I may have pushed a little too hard last week and my legs are paying the price. I made it through, though, but not without cramps and side stitch. But I can do it, and I am keeping my pace at < 13mm. I'm pretty proud of myself because in high school I couldn't run a mile in 13 minutes if my grade depended on it! By the end of the week I'll be halfway to my first 5k!

Last run of Week 3
So I may have pushed myself a little bit too far this week. My legs were super stiff after today's workout. Also, my shoes have started to give me blisters because they are old, and would you believe there is no place to buy running shoes within a 50 mile radius of my house? I cannot wait to get out of this desolate wasteland of a town. It is really starting to affect me. I hope it doesn't start to affect my running.
